Time diminished

Time, be not proud.
Though you may topple
Men and nature
And mark the passage
Of many things,
You can only be silent
We must speak in your behalf.
Time, be not boastful
Though you are the shaper
Not the shaped
And stop for no one,
Moving only forward,
We name you in increments
Not of your choosing
Time, taunt us not.
Though we may pass
While you remain
And you are certain
When we are not
You are but eternity
In small packages.

I really dig these lines...
"Time, be not boastful
Though you are the shaper
Not the shaped"
I think it's really great writing. :)

I love your use of time as an inanimate object but yet giving it character and shape. As 'the unfolding head' said great writing
