You said, at last, your chance to wear a big hat,
choice of colour,
generational mood of the bride's mother;
but all I could vision
was dressing your hair in sunbeams and starlight.
All twinkle and merriment, brilliant as diamond
compressed from the carbon of hearts.

A little cracker,I wouldn't
minded a hat like that,vision of starlight
and diamonds in her hair,compressed carbon
of hearts.
Mine at daughter's beautiful lilac,but covered
my face.
