A wall and wail of sound, this rain and wind
shunted through an ill-thought architecture
of fussybussy buildings. Spectors' seasoned
mix of sensory stimulants, shivered
through a hedgerow, moans and flaps
in counterpoint, but October ends, damp
a stir of mediums, not quite one thing
or another.
Waste pipe drip out of sync.

If my memory serves me right, all months end damp in Britain but October even more so because the dampness is absorbed by the carpet of dead leaves that stick to your boots and go with you everywhere.
I enjoyed your words. They're very Hallowe'eny without actually mentioning Hallowe'en itself.
And your 'ill-thought architecture of fussybussy buildings' took me back to Leeds ... again ... will I ever escape?
