Sign of time
(A visit to the cell of Saint Julian - the Medieval mystic - to see if I could feel anything)
Artistic shops have replaced the prostitutes
Do they still have cells the nuns?
Churches always smell the same
A fly buzzing
A woman breathes emotionally
The wooden bench creaks as I sit
Rocking her from her ecstasy
There's a candle
I don't know if I'm allowed
To light it
There's a picture
I don't know why you think it is beautiful
There's an altar
A sign
Please don't light the altar candles
A poster
About Julian
She used to hang out the window
sometimes
Here amongst the stone
I wonder if she liked the view
My legs are so short they stick out as I move further into the bench
The noise again
The woman is annoyed this time
I can feel it
I think of you
My lonely and anxious friend
And how I made you laugh that time
And how you made me cry that time
And made me glad that time
You sounded so tired and sad
The other day
There's a difference between wanting and receiving isn't there
All shall be well
