Battle Of The Elements

They came on clouds of horseback
Armed with lightening shields
Thunder is their weapon
The sky their battlefield

Filling the sky with darkness
The struggle taking place
The element is not surrender
Although there is worse to face

This army knows no silence
War is just their game
They will stop at nothing
They are far from tame

The wind it howled violently
Twisting towards the sky
Slowly getting stronger
As it met the enemy's eye

The silence shattered by thunder
Crashing with might it roared
The lightening gave no mercy
The rain just poured and poured

Again it gave a rumble
A sound that shook the sky
Giving up is not an option
But neither is to die

But suddenly out of its prison
Captive by the darkness it was kept
Came the sun's beaming light
From behind the clouds it crept

It sent the thunder retreating
The lightening on its tail
The clouds they cleared their cavalry
The rain began to bail

And then all was silent
The battle did retreat
But we'll hear their roars of victory
The next time the elements meet
