In a Jam

If you are driving
through Birmingham
you may get stuck
in a traffic jam.
That long queues
at Spaghetti Junction
will make you late,
is a natural assumption.
One of the reasons
why you have to wait
is that it is where
the M6 meets the A38.
The interchange works
in various stages
but the transition
seems to take ages.
Drivers are told
to use the M6 toll
to avoid congestion
but it doesn't suit all.

What a great take on the I. P
What a great take on the I. P. Luigi,
I'm so glad I'm retired and don't have to worry about such jams.

Those traffic jams
Those traffic jams are a nightmare you want to get out and bang the others guy head over and over on his bonnet. Road rage. Plead temporary insanity. Thanks heavens I'm not in Joburg anymore and sitting at home you miss all the fun. Rather listen to it all on the radio!
Cheers! Tom

Luigi, Good to se you. It's
Luigi, Good to se you. It's great to pop in and see old friends are still posting, (I was going to say, still here, but that makes it sound as though I'm wondering which of us oldies has died.)
Great poem, much enjoyed. Thank you for the read.
See, now I disagree with you, after enduring the A590, the M6 is a joy in comparison, and I don't mind the toll road, those twenty minutes saved make a big difference. I live in Barrow, the longest clu-de-sac in England they say. It takes 40 minutes to get anywhere and if you live around here, your journey doesn't start until you get off that damned road.
Enojed this, thank you.

Hi Luigi, what a warm welcome
Hi Luigi, what a warm welcome, thank you. I didn't write for six years until very recently, too busy with work--but I'm back on it with renewed obsession, and loving it. I've written, and published, three 80K novels this year, and another three well on the way.Live life on extremes.
It's great to see you, and read you, again.
Ah, 88 is but a number. Take care, my friend. xxx

Toll Jam
On the one occasion in my life that I decided to be a bit elitist and handed over the cash to drive up the M6 toll road there was a jam.
It frustrates me to think that I still can't find the words I need to describe the level of frustration.
Nice poem, this. It made me smile.
