You are an actress
who goes to auditions,
reads a few scripts
and does some screen tests
until, one fine day,
you’re given a part.
It isn’t much
but it is a start.
You sign a contract
full of conditions
and obscure clauses
you don’t understand
but don’t you worry,
it is all in hand:
welcome, my dear,
to the world of art.
They make it clear
that it is a blue movie
in which you’ll be playing
a lascivious tart.
You never imagined
that acting in porn
could be the means
for earning your corn.
Before very long
you’ll be a big star,
so let’s celebrate
on the backseat
of my car.

I like the rhyming scheme
I like the rhyming scheme you've employed in this and the following:
'but don’t you worry,
it is all in hand:
welcome, my dear,
of the world of art.'
These days, though, all any actor has to do is have a sex tape 'accidentally' released on YouTube.
