In the washed out
pre-shrunk days
of seventy eight
Just after punk
before we got drunk
and learned to smoke
On the cusp
our teenage minds
not yet corrupt
Floyd full volume
the A-side of 'Dark Side'
the screaming axe solo in
'Don't Fear The Reaper'.
Our future was rosy
with bands of all colours
our Floyd was pink, but
our purple was deeper.

I loved your poem.I went to so many festivals in the seventies. The best festival I went to was the Windsor Free Festival in 1973. That was a real blast. The air was so thick with drugs, you did not need to smoke you just got high by breathing in the fumes. And I loved Deep Purple and led Zepplin , Hawkwind and Lynyrd Skynyrd, Oh yes and Wishbone Ash.
