It's a masquerade
and we all dance
to a melchonic melody
driven by fear as it parks
We're all walking around
With heavy hearts
In the streets reminiscing
If life will offer
A second chance
Throwing to each other
A weary glance
It's a masquerade
Along those silent corridors
all alone
Some eyes are filled with remorse
Life just wasn't meant to steer so off course
It's a masquerade
and we all participate
Where the righteous and unrighteous
do battle at an alarming rate
Is the innocent that'll suffer
All castrated in its wake
Or will we stand
So that it's not our rights
They so arrogantly take
driven by their own goals
It's their own laws they now intend to make
In which some does not willingly pretake
Its a masquerade
As the world
Splits into two
I close my eyes
And shut it all out
In the silence
I rest assured
That all will be allright
Cause I'm secured in Your power
and might
There's no reason for me to become distress
Or even do battle
Cause You remain the commander of my fight
Always shining bright my Redeemer and light
