It's a rarity to be able to combine passion with your occupation. Lola van der Merwe is one of the lucky few. Today she's a Chef and accelerating in her field. This little seed was first planted in her when she catered for her church years ago, never did she imagine that it'll ultimately become her profession.
For 8 years she shared her passion, professionalism and friendliness at Feedem Catering Services where she gained her experience. Still there was no place like home and she decided to come home to Caledon and share her expertise and that's exactly what she's doing. She's currently helping out at a catering business in Caledon, though it's only temporary and is searching for a permanent position in Caledon or Hermanus. Her expertise consists of the following :
*21 St Birthday parties
*Buffets
*Birthdays
*Matric Farewells
*Weddings
*Funerals
She admits that baking and creating sauces is what she loves best. I was surprised to discover that she never grows tired of practicing what she enjoys the most and that's being a Chef.
That certainly got me curious so I asked her what she'd recommend for the average Joe like me to try out in the kitchen, believe it or not she had an answer ready and suggested that I try the following.

*Beef/Chicken Casserole Stew *Dessert : Triffel
