Looking Forward To .......

Was really looking forward to going to a large car boot today. It is very important to go to the right one, and last year I found the right one, when it was recommended to me, when I was at another car boot. We went, and we loved it. It was busy, sunny and we had lots of space. I had gone with a friend from work. I had given her money for petrol, and I had told her, “I will pay your food and drink there and give you, £20.” It is difficult to go to a car boot on your own, no one to talk to, no help setting up, no one to keep an eye on everything. After, we had set up, I let her go and wonder around, so she can enjoy herself, she is even allowed to bring some of her items to sell too. It is a win, win situation.

I had asked that work mate if she would like to come with me today, but she is off work sick, so after I had thought about it, I realized that wasn’t going to happen. So as a last resort I asked my husband. Paul is not a morning person, and in the past Paul, would not go to bed, as it is best for him that way. Me, I am ok with little sleep, even two hours is enough for me.

It was lovely weather last week, and they said, on the weather forecast, “It is going to be as hot as Greece on Sunday, the hottest day of the year so far.” They also said, “Monday (today,) will be wet and windy.” Sometimes, they get it wrong.

Yesterday, was not as hot as Greece! Saturday was much warmer, yesterday, while looking at a cloudy sky, I informed Paul, “We are not going to the car boot tomorrow, as it is not very hot today, and there is no point going if it is going to rain.”

I had bought sausages, bacon, and lots of bread, for our sandwiches and I had the flasks ready for our hot drinks and Walkers crisps. I also got lots of change from the bank and notes, as it is good to be prepared.

It did indeed rain today, it rained before we went to bed, it rained a lot! The sun did come out later. I did wonder if any diehards were there, and if anyone went to buy?

I made the right choice not to go, there will be other times, when me and the work mate can go, but this time I will not be paying for her petrol. I will pick her up instead and we can hopefully go once a week, starting from next month. Weather permitting.
