And everybody would be happy.
But people in caring all live in slums
the bike mechanics sit on their bums
The kids stay at home on school days with their Playstations
The drunks all end up in the Policestations.
John Lennon was murdered all he wanted was peace
Criminals unite in attacking the police.
Everybody opened the newspaper and cried
the morning they read that Richard Beckinsale died
And when they went to bed that night
they were still thinking 'This worlds not quite right.'
