The Battle Of A Woman

Thoughts came to me  of the battle of a woman

who has to overcome many things in this life we live

she has to battle on with different circumstances ,

win or loose and the things she must forget and forgive .

She has to keep sight of what is in front of her

right or wrong until there comes a light and the darkness ends .

She has to choose wisely her words and speak her mind clearly

so that those who know her well can still be her friends .

She has to walk tall even when they try to put her down

She has to move on when it’s too hard to let go .

She has to hide her suffering and pain and stand up proud and strong

and she must never let her weakness show .

She has to climb that mountain too high

and she has to find the wings to fly when they tell her to lie down low .

A woman would wage war to defend her family

 and would never fear any drop of blood that would flow .

The battle of a woman rages on even when the war is over

There are new challenges to face

She has to stand alone against the wrongs

and fight for what is right and put everything in its proper place  .

A woman is a better friend that  foe

and for those who know her she will make them proud to be by her side .

For all the blood sweat and tears , For all the battles through all the years,

a woman can always say,  she has tried  .
