 The Christmas Spirit

It was Christmas again and there was food and drink and some songs to sing .

There were cars parked everywhere outside as some people came visiting  .

There were children and adults present there with smiles and some gifts to share .

There’s were Christmas  greetings on mobile phones from people everywhere .

COVID was in hiding and at last families gathered and smiled .

Even thought in our hearts were directed towards the birth of that child .

The child who came into the world long ago on that first Christmas day 

 What wonderful blessing to appreciate  Christmas in this way 

 We shared stories and giggled at the funny  things  people had to say .

There’s always another tomorrow 

have a happy birthday today .

Christmas came and found us 

together with warm smiles beaming in our eyes .

Life is good and Christmas is even 

More than we ever realise .
