The Dying Rose - By Paul McCann
.
You left me out in the cold ,
Things were out of my control ,
I was alone and exposed .
No one sees the dying rose ,
It's as if their eyes are closed .
Some are blinded I suppose .
They might think I've had my day, and it's time to fade away .
As far as this season goes
It's the last for this old rose .
There should have been someone there to have given me water ,
but no , too late now for me .
In this world I will not be .
The gardeners sad as well ,
He had loved my fragrant smell .
The sunshine just went and hide and the bluebells also did .
I'm leaving my space for you .
I'm just a rose that once grew .
