The Escape Hatch

As long as there’s a slamming door ,

love can’t stay around here no more ;

So that’s when I’ll have to explore

the place where you can be no more. 

There’s an escape hatch in my mind  ,

where all of my thoughts can unwind

My heart is broken  with your rage

as  you strutter round in your c age

like a dictator with a whip

who is about to loose his grip

that’s when I have to try to find

the latch that opens up my mind

You can’t get here inside my mind ,

In here I leave the world behind

I have a storm here in my head  

where all my enemies are slayed .

Listen to what I have to say

I’m going to blow you away.

When its time for you to repent   

Share all you have with good intent ‘

Leave your ego outside the door

have some respect and give some more .

love will remain for ever more

with a stop to the slamming door .
