The Girl At The Gate

I dreamt that she was waiting

at the gate , I ran to her

but it was much too late .

She was gone by the time that I got there .

So I had nothing left to say to her .

I lost her in a dream .

Where did she go ?

Was she even there at all ?

I just don’t know .

All of my dreams they seem so black and white.

They’re always in my mind but out of sight .
