The Grace Of Sight

Ears that hear and eyes that see ,

are what God has given me .

Without them I would be blind 

and it would be hard to find ,

The face of the one I love ,

The stars that shine up above ,

The flowers that bloom in spring 

The love songs that people sing ,

For I wouldn't hear a sound ,

As if no one was around .

God gave me free will to do

right or wrong and to be true .

I cannot try to deceive .

He gave me grace to believe 

thar his spirit lives in me .

I write songs and poetry , 

of God and his creation .

with my imagination 

in all the things I can see 

he is always there with me .
