The Little Moments

When you were three we went out in the snow

and made a snowman there by the window .

In the summer we went on holiday

For a week in a beach house we would stay .

It was the little moments that we shared ,

all the things we seen and the things we heard .

You were there when I taught lessons in class

and in no time at all you grew up fast .

There were hard times too that we went through,

but you made it easy for me to do .

The charades we played were we had to guess

and those little moments I loved the best .

The little moments when we ate some food

and we always thought subway tasted good .

We shared some stories as the time went by

We laughed together a lot , you and I .

The little moments we shared playing games

and walking down those lovely country lanes .

I loved when we would go on a horse ride

Into the town we would go side by side .

I am so glad for the time you were here .

In my heart I treasure each moment dear .

It’s the little moments when no one cared

that’s when I discovered that you were there .
