Living Too Long On My Knees
By Paul McCann
Here I stand wrongly accused, so help me God today,
I’ve always been a child at heart , I don’t know what to say ,
so I’ll bow my head in silence and now I start to pray ,
Lord you know I’m innocent , so raise an alarm today .
Raise an alarm , flash the light ,
ring the bell , start the fight ,
stand up for the wrongly accused ,
they’re beaten up and abused .
Justice walk in a poor man’s shoes .
Tell me that I’m free to go .
Free to come and go as I please ,
for I’ve been living too long on my knees .
Defend me in my innocence, protect me from all harm,
the situations getting tense , time to raise an alarm ,
protect me from all those who intend to do me wrong ,
they’ve built a case to put me in a place I don’t belong .
Raise an alarm , beat the drum ,
send in the truth for everyone ,
let them know what’s going on ,
show them what they’re doing wrong ,
Justice walk in a poor man’s shoes .
Tell me that I’m free to go .
Free to come and go as I please ,
for I’ve been living too long on my knees .

It is good to try to right
It is good to try to right injustice, but also good that God not only intervenes often in response to our prayer, but ultimately he will put right all wrongs. Though that is a cue for us to ask his mercy for our sins now. https://www.abctales.com/story/rhiannonw/good-justice-wonderful-mercy
and as far a persecution for faith is concerned, and (I don't know what to say) the words of Matthew 10:19,20 are so encouraging: 'But when they arrest you, do not worry about what to say or how to say it. At that time you will be given what to say, for it will not be you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.' Rhiannon
