The Lonely Wind
By Paul McCann
Oh its a such a lonely wind that makes a hollow sound
From north to the south it comes and goes .
All night and day I suppose ,
From the far east to the wild west
It howls and it whistles as it blows .
The spirit of the wind is alive in me .
It never dies, the breath of life is free .
Its in my soul eternally
The lonely wind and me .
It’s in your face ,
It’s at the door ,
Its on the mountain and it’s on the shore .
Its in the rain and it’s in the snow.
Oh its such a lonely wind that never ever has a rest
Like the frequent guest that never wants to go .
The spirit of the wind is alive in me .
It never dies, the breath of life is free .
It’s in my soul eternally .
The lonely wind and me .
I can’t hear it above .
It’s in the sky where the eagles fly .
and its on the ground making a lonely sound’
it gushes through the street
and it rushes at your feet
No one knows how long It’s been around .
The spirit of the wind is alive in me .
It never dies, the breath of life is free .
Its in my soul eternally
The lonely wind and me .
