there are so many things
that are pulling me down ,
I can’t seem to get on my feet .
Give me the ability to turn things around .

Mother of divine providence ,
bring to the hungry to your door and give them a feast ,
Bring the wealthy an understanding ,
Of how the greatest things are often the least .

Mother of divine providence
I have nothing at all and call for help each day
with bills overdue and debts old and new
and all of the things that I have to pay .

Mother of divine providence I beg of thee
and plea upon my bended knee
for assistance in my poverty
and your alliance against my enemy .
