Mother of sweetness wherever I go
There is something that I need you to know .
In all of the bitterness I can taste
victory in all the things that I face .

Mother of sweetness I ask one again
repel the darkness and ignite the flame ,
with the spark of life and the light of love
may your love shine down from heaven above .

Mother of sweetness its such a disgrace
The distasteful things that I have to face .
All that I ask is that you would reclaim
the truth behind lies in Jesus’ name .

All of the hurt that is so hard to heal ,
Shield me from feeling I’m unprotected ,
and defend me from feeling rejected .

Mother of sweetness bring a change in me ,
With understanding of how things should be .
The emotions turning me upside down
the feelings that me keep spinning me around .

Mother of sweetness when I’m effected
By things that can be somehow infected ,
Cleanse me and keep me a whole human being
the best I can be in all I’m seeing .
