I was born in I was born in 1956
I couldn't talk or think ,

But as I grew the world I knew fell together link by link .

In 68 discos were great snd so were all my friends

With worn out wranglers and ben shermans

We kept up with the trends .

Through rain and snow

We got to know the roads that took us home

I kept all my penny thoughts of Ardoyne and the Bone .

Penny thoughts of life keep coming back to me .

Every single penny thought is my identity .

From barricades where hand grenades

shook peace and sanity

to New South Wales Australia

went my family and ,me .

In 72 the world I knew had left me feeling lost .

A stranger in a stranger land

With all my penny thoughts .
