A Sabtang Smile

In a beautiful spot that time has forgot , 

we rode in a tricycle and the weather was hot .

We took in the sights of Sabtang 

for a while 

and discovered the friendly way 

local people smile .   

With the nod of a head 

they would welcome you there 

and in unspoken words 

something special would be shared .

That Sabtang smile 

can be seen everywhere , 

it’s all over the island 

and it’s no wonder ..

In this protected environment 

they live.

Selling goods from innocent shops, 

there’s  no change to give .

Living out dreams  in the Philippines , 

the Sabtang way .

Discover  it 

and you’ll  be smiling too everyday .
