Something To Prove

You’ve got something to prove ,

like the way that you move,

Without your dancing shoes ,

bouncing to the beat of a different  drum ,

jumping on your feet in the heat of the sun.

Everybody knows you’ve got something to prove

so go on and  show them all

you’ve got nothing to loose ,

so choose all the moves ,

they’ve  never seen before

like the waves on the shore where nobody  goes .

 

There’s so much to achieve ,

if you really believe ,

take it on the chin no matter what,

burning red hot, staying alive ,

giving it all you got,  with the will to survive ,

you know  deep down inside

you’ve  something to prove ,

you’re like a stick of dynamite ,

just light the fuse,

get out of the road,

because you’re going to explode

in a blinding light and they’ll say all right

 

All right ,  all right , you made  your point ,

ok ok you’ll hear them say

and you can walk away

and screw the lid back on

because you were strong and you made your point ,’

because you had something to prove .

 

 

Everyone will know that you’re a dynamo ,

with a twinkle in your eyes and toes

and a sparkle there  that glows ,

it’s a  magic I suppose

in situations that  we never choose ,

there’s always  something there we have to prove ,

wherever you go ,

you’ve got to let them know

you’re in for the fight and it will be all right .

 

All right ,  all right , you made  your point ,

ok ok you’ll hear them say

and you can walk away

and screw the lid back on

because you were strong and you made your point ,’

because you had something to prove .
