Too Much To Do

I got too much to do today

and everything’s getting in the way.

Got  so much I’m going through ,

I don’t have time enough time to tell you ,

I wish I had an extra hour or two ,

but I might wish all away and that wouldn’t do .

I guess the best is still to come

and I need time to get things done .

One day at a time .

I’ve got too much to do today .

So much going on round here

and not there’s enough hours I fear  .

Got lots  to say I can hardly speak ,

need an extra day in the week.

If I had time to make a list I would ,

but I never read the things I should.

I can hear footstep in  the hall

and I think someone took a  fall

ut there’s so much In the way

and I’ve got too too much to do today.

Someone’s on the phone ,

knocking at the door.

No one’s home , I’m on my own

and there’s someone on the  floor .

Too much to do these days

and the best of friends go separate ways

and no one seems to give a damn ,

no one wants to lend a hand ,

don’t ask me  I don’t know why

but  I hope as time goes by

things will change for the best

and there will be some time to rest
