Waiting For Her
By Paul McCann
I’m waiting for her like a prisoner of time,
in a room without a door,
walking around in circles here,
while she’s far away on another shore .
It was Christmas and nearly a new year
since the day she had gone away.
When she left I was counting the hours
for her to come back home everyday .
Every second of every minute ,
was like a day in itself to me ,
time is a non existent thing
when you are living an eternity .
She had been away for so long
I thought about going to look for her .
But I couldn’t get a flight
to the place she was living in over there .
I understood she had to go away
to do the things she had to do
but I also knew that there were some other things
that she had to go through .
Then after she had done everything
she would return back to me again ,
I never thought it would be that long
before she could get back on that plane.
Tomorrow will come and another week will pass
and so I'll wait for her ,
the world it just keeps on turning
but tell me is there anybody there ?
.
