WAR GAMES – SPIN THE BARREL
Captured and held prisoner by those with no names.
In time they began to play one of their war games;
Your life or your money or money for your life.
It’s hanging by a thread on the edge of a knife.
Will you survive, will you be called the lucky one,
Gambling with two cold barrels of a loaded gun.
Someone pulls the trigger, then it’s over and done.
Life or death, who knows, there’s two bullets in the gun.
Spin the barrel, ready or not, the hammer falls.
Life’s a cheap game with a dead end in roulette halls.
Some gamble, some play, some will live and some will die,
Life is a gamble, bought and sold, the stakes are high.
The game ends quick, and you’ll be called lucky one,
When there’s two bullets in the barrel of the gun.
One from two still leaves one, two from two then there’s none.
Close your eyes it’s too late when the counting is done,
Breathe easy again; there’s two bullets in the gun.
When you’re playing with fire, there’s no where left to run,
It’s time to say your prayers now get down on your knee.
I wonder who and when the next victim will be?
You’re free to go when the games all over and done.
Where there’s no smoke, there’s no fire, from a loaded gun.
