Time after time I'm climbing these stairs reaching up to the sky .

Stars in showers are falling down and comets are shooting by .

Hitching a ride to a galaxy or to anyplace near there .

As long as it’s part of the twilight zone I don’t really care .

Take me away to a distant place where no ones ever been

where everything is purple and everyone lives in a dream .

Strap me in for a carpet ride on a journey back again

Where I can hitchhike on the freeway there near the starry plain .

Come with me and we’ll climb those stairs together up to the sky .

Where the stars fall like diamonds there from a place away up high.
