There’s a rumor going round
what goes up is coming down
without a shadow of a doubt
time is running out
and there’s smoke in the wind .

There’s a brown stain in the wind
you can feel it coming in
everyone’s in such a hurry
caught up making money
there’s a brown stain in the wind .

There’s a heap of global changes ,
mother nature rearranges ,
in the famine and the drought
there’s not much handed out and there’s
hunger in the wind .

There’s a brown stain in the wind
they tell us to dig in
paranoid of the dangers
we avoid meeting strangers
there’s a lot of pain in the wind ,

I see too may faces
looks like death at twenty paces ,
getting harder to ignore
what the futures got in store
yeah there smoke in the wind .

In these troubled times
we’ve got to stop and let it go ,
take it easy take it slow
leave your worries to the wind ,
loose your pain in the wind .
