it all begins with silence
like a sky that's clear and blue
then notes like little raindrops
fill the air with something new
.
these notes create a melody
with vibrancy, so clean
but oh how so important
are those silences between
.
it all begins with whiteness
like a perfect field of snow
but up pops little footprints
leaving trails there, don't you know
.
these words create a story
with a message brought to mind
but oh how so important
is the whiteness left behind
.
the story of creation
has been bantered back and forth
the east will never meet the west
the south ignores the north
.
in God's majestic wisdom
he created all things new
formed everything from nothing
but the nothingness shows through

Hi Moonphish

Good rhythm and control of the speed, in this light poem. Not sure of the last three words in verse three. 'Don't you know' doesn't seem to fit with the other beautiful words.

thanks Granny....lol....the "don't you know" was a nod to my great aunt who used this phrase in almost every sentence
