DIVE INTO A BOOK

let me tell you, people

every time i read a book

i dive right down inside it

just to get a better look

i'm leaping through the pages

take the highway down the spine

weave myself into the story

till it's history is mine

there are books i don't want ending

yet that final page, i crave

the tale unfolds before me

from the cradle to the grave

i cry when reading drama

when i'm angered, i will rail

i laugh out loud at comedies

i scream at horror tales

it's the universe, i'm finding

safe inside my little nook

it's time to make like gumby

and go dive into a book
