i feel her hand upon my hand

although too far to touch

when one hand senses danger

then the other hand will clutch

our love sprang up like flowers

and how quickly did they grow

the first thing i was sure of

and the last thing i shall know.

i feel her mind inside my head

i know that she does too

a spirit of telepathy

in everything we do

our love sprang up like springtime

and it melted all the snow

the first thing i was sure of

and the last thing i shall know

i feel her heart inside my chest

i know that she feels mine

the fibers of our souls

have quickly meshed and intertwined

our love sprang up like daybreak

with a soft and rosy glow

the first thing i was sure of
