a monument, marmoreal
an alabaster shrine
configured by a sculptor
who's an architect, divine
so lifelike to our senses
yet aloof and cold to touch
but still a thing of beauty
if you think about it much
but often living beings
are reduced to just that state
a statue draped with fleshing
with a life they emulate
alas, these lonesome creatures
are dictated by their rules
you wouldn't think that possible
if God had manned the tools
but God just sets things spinning
after that he draws the line
a monument, marmoreal
an alabaster shrine

I really like this. Really an interesting perspective and interesting play on states of existence.
