SLEEPING THROUGH THE SEASONS

when spring is finally springing

i embrace the warmth, its bringing

soon be choosing for my snoozing

lighter blankets than before

in summer, i will slumber

but i'm sleeping, unencumbered

i've discovered when i'm covered

i am hotter even more

in autumn, my poor bottom

needs protection, and i got 'em

air is cool now, needs more fuel now

i quite soundly, win the war

in winter, ice will splinter

coldness coming like a sprinter

i'll deliver and not shiver

'neath my blanketing, i'll snore
