Lesotho, in the hills and stars

In the hills,
at a party
where we knew no one,
you pointed out
stars and constellations.
I do not remember their names,
would not know them,
shown to me by someone else
in a different sky.
It's been seven years -
the last time I saw you,
I was stranded in Johannesburg
with nothing more than a toothbrush and the stars
to get me home.
You took me in,
the afternoon sky, faultless.
In your bedroom -
I fell asleep before dark.
