faithful to the dream
By Nolan
- 1051 reads
fountains between sand and foam
burning desert screams shady water
creation's hope faithful to the dream
rainbow true to sea to eden's heaven
all earth craves dark grey skies' thunder
hope calls for crystal rivers' clean water
patient for promised cloud's heavy drops
waiting always through rainless ages
silent prayer peace before the rain
devouring thirst merciful quenched
frozen tears joyous brilliant diamonds
lonely pearls pale in frosty moonshine
azure ice glaring lilac lime peach blush
royal pastel dawn soft crimson copper

For the Lord comforts Zion;
he comforts all her waste places;
and makes her wilderness like Eden,
her desert like the garden of the Lord;
joy and gladness will be found in her,
thanksgiving and the voice of song!
Isaiah 51:3

You always have a musical
You always have a musical flow of words, Nolan, though very concentrated, personal, and enigmatic in the sense that there seems to be much background thinking linking it all. The Bible verse seems to give the key here of the mixture of patience and longing for the provision of rain and water through the hardships often present and the turning of tears into diamonds and pearls, and the gentle colours coming after night and storm? Those last two lines seem to depict a lovely peace, and God's provision and blessing. Rhiannon
