As I was sat pot in hand
watching life go by
I spied Skennin Tom passing swiftly by
He moved t’ left
He moved to t’ right
He moved all ways around
Until at last he came t’rest upon t’ bloomin ground
With sleeves rolled up
and shirt unbuttoned
He stretched and thrust out chest
He jigged t’left
He jigged t’right
He jigged always around
Until at last he settled down as crowd gathered around
He wagered all he’d beat whippet
He’d race it today
He’d set the rules and whippet must run same way
They cheered on t’left
They cheered on t’right
They cheered all around
Until at last they settled down, who’d be first t’end o’town
Then Tom set rules
On how race would be run
They’d run it backwards and guess who won?
He staggered t’left
He staggered t’right
He staggered always around
That was the day that Skennin Tom beat whippet t’end o’town

:)
Smashing. Might want to look at final line, Sceenin, instead of Scenin.

Thumbs up!
Now obvious hard K, works well in setting tone for how poem is to be read/accent. :)
