For You To Decide!!!

Almost 2000 years from this day a young Jew from Nazareth, stood in front Pontius Pilate, the Roman governor of Jerusalem. His crime- blasphemy. What placed Joshua in front of the governor was the fact that he claimed himself to be the Messiah or savior of the Jews. This put him in direct conflict with the Jewish patriarch of Jerusalem. He had destroyed the table of the moneychangers and through baptism made a serious inroad into the monopoly of the Jewish temple in purification and prophesized on the table at Passover, that one of his disciples will hand him over (not betray –take note). He wanted Judas to do that job, and so he did!
But what made the man take such a desperate step?
Well, his most famous predecessors all suffered very violent deaths (like John the Baptist –beheaded or Isaiah –cut into half).
Joshua, it seems had no other way –he had to find a way to make his death a meaningful and bold statement. He faced Pontius Pilate one on one –and told him he would find Joshua in heaven on the right hand of god.
Almost two millennia hence an equally pragmatic though much less popular man appears to be the part of similar lineage! Indeed his predecessors are not saints but more likely- sinners. He is Pervez Musharraf .if he looks back he finds that the former heads of his state are either in exile or worse executed and in their graves.
He too has taken on the religious orthodoxy but unlike Joshua he does not want to reform them .he would rather want the eliminated or may be transformed.
What are the paths open to him??
Most significantly he is possibly at this moment the most unpopular man to his people, thus eliminating the possibility of becoming a Messiah but he can try to be martyr but not to his people but his powerful friends farther west. Indeed his noisy operation “silence” at the Red Mosque would give that kind of indication.
Though anybody would admit one is a saint and the other a not quite so, what places the two on the same spectrum is fact that their past gives them a feeling of insecurity, which makes them do things other people would not!!
Is my theory interesting or utter rubbish???
It is for you to decide!
