Statuary

A bird just shat on my head. Maybe it mistook me for a statue of someone great. Well we're all potentially great - equally great.
Life's an experiment. We burst out of a vagina on the end of a rope and have to cope.
Someone said we're all individuals. We're not. Left to our own devices we'd still be scratching for seeds and berries, dead by what we now call middle age. Most of our children would die in infancy, many mothers would die giving birth.
We need to respect each other. The worst places to live in my opinion are those with the most exclusive (excluding) societies. You can't walk anywhere in safety, you live in secure fortress estates, half the population is either in jail or on their way there, the police force is paramilitary.
We need each other. Everyone has something to give. The trouble is, we fuck people up before they can give it. From the moment they come off the rope.
We might have a stronger, better world if only we could learn. Ignorance fucks people up but, worse, it fucks up the next generation. And the next.
Those in control have a stake in ignorance. It allows them to stay in control. They can even make it seem desirable. Many view their own ignorance as an identity. They are proud of it. Even proud, in their ignorance, to pay an allegiance to the people who control them.
Those in control, of course, are far from ignorant. They understand exactly how the system works. They create and maintain it. They create our identities.
The minority are not only holding back the majority, through wasted potential they are holding back human progress and welfare.
