Injuries from packaging?

Is it just me or – does everyone need a toolbox !
Why do I struggle to open boxes and everyday packaging?
I keep a magnifying glass in the kitchen drawer to optimistically look for opening instructions. I’m sure I saw some once.
I hold one end with a pair of pliers whilst wrenching the damn bubble plastic cover off the front to no avail. My thumb bleeds over the plastic mouldings, so I go for a plaster. Argh I can’t peel the plaster out of it’s cover, urgh, get some small scissors to cut out the plaster, whew.
Eventually I give up using heavy duty scissors to cut the item free from it’s plastic cocoon. Once it is released I find those small wire ties holding it in place even further, oooh where are the wire cutters?!
