The Chime Box

She opened the box,
And slowly strolled along,
Spreading the chiming music,
Rustling the trees around.
I could sense the gush
Of the gentle breeze,
Playing with her hair,
Unwilling to cease.
She strolled towards
The dark empty road,
With a resonating companion,
Who never kept her bored.
Her white little frock,
Waving to the tunes,
Faded away gently,
Into the dark,misty,dune.
I could hear my heart,
through it's soft beats.
Befriended to solitude,
Walking down the streets.
"Pity you, heart! For all
you have been through"
So saying, I retreated,
and walked back home.
My eyes were directed
to the silvery photoframe,
And there she smiles back!
Looking deep into my eyes.
Cross the glass walls,
and let the power unfold,
come dance with me sweety,
please leave your mum's hold!
How could she do this,
To us,sweet girl?
She chose to marry Heaven,
Who lured her from above!
You were my treasure darl,
My ever-smiling pearl!
You have no idea sweety,
How I miss those innocent twirls!
Yes!You are your mother’s daughter,
Sigh,Who am I to you!
Didn't you love the box pearl?
My chiming gift to you?
Guess you loved your mum more,
Else why would you leave me,doll?
Or were you fascinated dear,
By her present hubby’s call?
Please come back sweety,
Save me from the fall!
Closing my eyes,
I laid there alone.
The chiming music started,
So soothing and mild.
"Hear my quiet call,
Step into the dark,
Look into my eyes,
I have found you”
The girl in white frock,
Turned back and smiled.
