Key to the forest

Code for the hill

Runes of the river

Signs haunt us still

Written on the bark

Engraved on the stones

In the movement of water

Encoded in our bones

The legend taunts us

But it slips away

Before we grasp its meaning

Language is a haze

My son-in-law is a geologist and my son is keen on archeology, both of which depend on the legends from the runes and ruins.
