Dream, Desire and Doctor
P K Routray
For the word “Dream” as we generally cite, write and mean
in dictionary and Google search, such meanings are never seen.
One may agree or may not agree,
in the meaning of dream, desire we see.
In the best of our desires, in fantasy and ecstasy we generally float
but least of my dreams match such desires, from my experiences, I quote.
Here I pose a challenge to doctors, psychiatrists and chemists to ponder
to add something to sleeping pill to make man sleep and dream sweeter
At his will and whim, man can sleep and dream as fancied
not to interrupt his dream, as willed he may be given some sleeping feed.
How nice would be then this world of anxiety and tension,
avoiding his earthly worries, with these pills man can sleep, dream at will and have plenty of fun.
As patent to my thought I deserve a share of earnings from the Nobel inventors
to distribute among poet friends to purchase these pills for many a poetic wonder.
