Hey Boss! You, I miss.
Immortalize a mortal man
his deeds in his life span
Deeds done or undone
flaunts man in common
but a rare few stay unsung
standing on the last rung
the ladder has, to Heaven
as they aid the creation.
Diminutive in stature
stoutly built-in structure
with ever-smiling posture,
never dying dynamic nature,
sharply intelligent,
superbly diligent,
iron-willed,
fabulously skilled
loved by all,
loved he, tall to small,
equanimeous, true
a leader for his crew
R N Mohapatra was my boss
the rarest breed to come across.
Despite thirty years of our association
never he posted me of his creation
that is wonderful unique IB thermal
the green beauty of a plant, brutal
where the pollutants of a thermal plant
surrender to the environ to turn pleasant
thus being another Konark to world’s wonder
to ecological issues, providing the right answer.
With a sigh of grief and memory nostalgic
at Nalco’s primitive stage his deeds magic
Schools of national repute,
infrastructures to suit
the taste of people engaged
their family members young and aged
from India and abroad
his deeds all applaud.
Born and bred in tribal region
Kotpad with no communication
he could graduate with distinction
from the best institutes of the nation
and studied abroad in the USA
first Koraputean, people say
At tender age around twenty-eight
a UNO lecture to his credit
a doctor on naturopathy
allelopathy and homeopathy
to his colleagues knowledgeable
a feat unique and adorable.
As his subordinate
accompanying him to coordinate
with state and private authority
was awed by his affability
that made frictions to melt
Good wills, NALCo could belt.
Man is born to die
My boss proves it lie.
he lives in our heart
and will continue even after we depart
by the mementos of his deeds and love
None even time cannot rob.
Hey Boss! Cherish I time with you
Did I wake up you to bid adieu
a few days back to talk with you for hours
Your book of Autobiography of a yogi in me flowers.
Really sir! I can ring you no further
and ask you to remove my blur.
Sir with tears, I break
Pray Lord for your shake.

In the service of Lord
