With fear and illusion
Success has limitation.
Blessings has fear of curses behind
in love, fear of hate we find.
with every success fear of failure
brings amidst joy the apprehensive fear’s tear.
With enjoyment, comes fear of disease
With social position, the pleasure, fear of disfavor buries.
With riches, comes fear of hostile compulsions,
With honor, comes fear of humiliations.
With power, comes fear of enemies’ outrage,
With beauty, comes fear of old age.
With scholarship, comes fear of challenger,
With virtue, comes fear of traducers galore.
With the identification with body, fear of death is sure,
Everything in this world is done with fear.
Illusion brings temptations and desires boundless,
Renunciation alone makes one desire less and fearless.
Illusion generates fears leading to pains and sufferings,
renunciation ends fear bringing peace and bliss to human beings.
