Leave a little

Daily I pray you to take away my lust, greed and anger,
along with attachment vanity jealousy and fear.
But today I also pray you to leave in me a little of each of them,
so that I enjoy the life in human form in which to this earth I came.,
Without lust can your creation be sustained?
Monks and Bishops alone will be there to roam only for a while, I am afraid.
Without greed can I maintain my entity?
I shall look after others only and nothing will be left for my lean days to assist.
if anger vanishes, your rules and administration will fail,
I am sure that It will be difficult on this earth, a life to sail.
Attachment is bad, scriptures tell,
How will the love exist? It has to see its coffin’s nail.
without vanity where will be motivation?
creative works will dwindle with morbid life human race will move towards extinction.
without jealousy, man can never compete to strive ahead and prosper,
with complacency the zeal in man and his calibers will certainly disappear.
Without fear can ever truth and purity remain?
and also tigers will eat deer with ease, how will your creation will sustain?
Hey God! You take away all my vices I pray,
but leave a little of all so that as a man I enjoy the life with others and in the society I stay.
