Reveals our prayer

that selfish to the core, we are.

“Hey Lord! Give me this or that,

health, wealth and all the best on our path.”

Pray we for self, family, kith and kin

for purity, prosperity and absolving the committed sin.

Never have we remembered our less fortunate fellow beings

their weal and woes never reflect in our prayers and feelings.

Can man live in isolation

enjoying the earth crust alone?

Social animal is man,

without society exist he never can.

With health, peace and opulence around

for man, bliss and happiness are bound.

Then why do not we pray for all

inclusive of self, society, friends and foes for His blessings to fall.
