Pray you, My friends!
P K Routray
With fading power to see and hear,
no tooth to aid to pronounce clear,
me, my weak memory and fancy whim delude
as a stout person to foresee and logically conclude.
From toe to brow my nerves have aged weak
Very often weather, food and others make me sick.
Bones from sole to scalp have osteoporosis and have aged fragile
Muscles have weakened, to meet my need I am not capable and agile,
With sparse hairs colored grey, my scalp looks a barren field
as if with medic care cultivation and nutriants, hairs it can yield.
The wrinkles over the body multiply threir numbers and dimensions
A decade long parlor visit and herbal message made no contribution.
On my doctors’ advice I take pills like my childhood chocolates
To come back safe with help I carry my address in my wallets.
My yester year snaps, I gaze at with love and fond memory
But the mirror on my way now tells me my agonized story.
I go out of breathe while walking yards apart
still I love my life and the society in my heart.
Love me my young friends in spite of my dementia and delirium.
and help me to live with peace and pray for me a place in Elysium.
